The room is roomy and inviting, a two-minute walk from Kamakura Station on the Komachi shopping street, with enough space to actually work or read rather than just pass through. Staff are uber-friendly, the kind of helpful that makes solo visits easy.

The cold brew runs on Honduran beans and steeps into milk chocolate and hazelnut by the end of the glass, genuinely enjoyable on a sultry, crowded Kamakura afternoon. The chicken teriyaki sandwich, served with salad and shredded carrots, is an excellent brunch order in its own right.
