# Central Kyoto, Thursday to Monday

Kyoto · 2-3 hours · morning

Three of Kyoto's specialty rooms in one walk: a frog-filled roastery, a Steep Pick in between, and a home-brew showcase to finish. About 2.5km through Shimogyo and Nakagyo. Skip Tuesday and Wednesday, one of the three is always shut.

## The route

- [1. KAEru coffee](https://thesteep.app/cities/kyoto/kaeru-coffee-kyoto)Sakaicho

Start with KAEru's frog-filled room, dozens of figurines collected over the years, self-roasted beans behind the counter. The coffee did not land for us on our own visit, worth trying again for yourself.

13 min walk to the next stop

- [2. GOODMAN ROASTER KYOTO](https://thesteep.app/cities/kyoto/goodman-roaster-kyoto)Yadacho

A short walk south to GOODMAN ROASTER KYOTO, a Steep Pick and the strongest coffee of the three, well-extracted drinks and a wide bean selection in a small, welcoming room.

- [3. Kurasu Ebisugawa](https://thesteep.app/cities/kyoto/kurasu-ebisugawa)Ebisugawa

Finish at Kurasu Ebisugawa, a genuinely distinctive home-brew gear showcase rather than an espresso bar. The coffee is excellent. Go in with patience for the service.
