About 1.8 kilometres from the shrine to the last cup, and under 1.4 between the five cafes themselves. Also works on a Tuesday, just not a Monday or a Wednesday. ## The route - [1. Walnuts Coffee](https://thesteep.app/cities/tokyo/walnuts-coffee)Koenji, Suginami Start at Kishō Jinja, Japan's only weather shrine, inside Koenji Hikawa Shrine and about two minutes from the station, then walk six minutes southwest. This is the earliest opener of the five at 10:00, closed Wednesdays, and open past midnight Friday through Sunday if you loop back. A six-seat hidden-alley pour, handmade cups, Nordic-leaning roast. 3 min walk to the next stop - [2. COFFEE AMP THE ROASTER](https://thesteep.app/cities/tokyo/coffee-amp-the-roaster-koenji)Koenji, Suginami A short walk south to a takeout roaster that opens at 11:00, with the roasting machine and bags of beans on display. Order an iced latte on the Brazil and carry it with you. Closed Mondays and the second Sunday of the month. 8 min walk to the next stop - [3. Porta Coffee Stand](https://thesteep.app/cities/tokyo/porta-coffee-stand)Koenji, Suginami This is the longest walk of the route, back north to Koenji's shotengai. Open every day of the week, the one stop here with no schedule to work around. Limited seating, most people take theirs out into the shotengai. It gets crowded with tourists on weekends, so expect a short queue on a Saturday. 5 min walk to the next stop - [4. INCredible COFFEE](https://thesteep.app/cities/tokyo/incredible-coffee)Koenji, Suginami Closed Mondays, and runs a genuine midday break (10:00-11:30) most days, arrive after 11:30 to be safe.
