Above Eleven has held its place as Bangkok's original Peruvian rooftop since 2012, and between the skyline view and a watermelon mint pisco sour built by a bartender who clearly loves the craft, it earns a Steep Pick without much argument.
The Steep Index
Coffee, or rather the pour, earns a 9.2. Above Eleven was Bangkok's first Peruvian restaurant and the Nikkei-inspired cocktail program still shows why that mattered, the watermelon and mint pisco sour built by bartender Nick was genuinely one of the best drinks we had in the city. Atmosphere is the standout at 9.6, thirty-three floors up with a skyline that does not need any help from the room, and somehow the room delivers anyway. Solo sits at 8.6, comfortable enough to sit at the bar alone and let the view do the talking. Staying is equally strong at 8.6, DJs, a Wednesday salsa night, and a menu built for lingering rather than rushing through. Value comes in at 8.0, a fair number for a rooftop of this caliber in this location.

The Space
Above Eleven sits on the 33rd and 34th floors of Fraser Suites Sukhumvit, an urban park built into the sky, complete with structural trees and a skyline that stretches out in every direction. It has held this spot since 2012 as Bangkok's first Peruvian restaurant, and the room still feels like it knows exactly what it is doing.
The Pour
The cocktail program leans into Above Eleven's Nikkei roots, and the watermelon and mint pisco sour is the drink to order, bright, balanced, and genuinely memorable. Bartender Nick built ours with real care and clear pride in the craft, the kind of hospitality that turns a good cocktail into the reason you come back.
Ask for Nick behind the bar, and order whatever he is excited about that night.
The Vibe
Genuinely one of the best atmospheres in Bangkok, DJs most nights, a Wednesday salsa night, and a view that makes every seat in the house worth having. It works equally well solo at the bar or across the table from someone you are trying to impress.
The Verdict
Above Eleven earns its Steep Pick on atmosphere alone, and the cocktails, especially anything Nick puts in front of you, close the case. Come for the view, stay for the pisco sour, and book ahead, this is not a rooftop you want to show up to without a reservation.
