La Latina and Lavapiés sit on either side of the Sunday flea market that gives this whole crescent its rhythm, close enough to walk between without noticing the line. Ruda Café hides in the narrow streets of La Latina near the Rastro itself, rotating single-origin coffees with staff who will tell you exactly why that week's bean is on the counter. A few minutes south in Lavapiés, Hola Coffee Fourquet does the same thing in a smaller room, opened in 2017 by a Spanish Barista Champion and a Toma Café alumnus. Neither announces itself from the street, which is rather the point.
