The Space
A compact room at the corner of Grüners gate — a few stools, a pristine counter, and nothing to distract from what is being served. Small enough that you feel close to the work, which is the point.
The Coffee
Light roasts sourced directly from farms in Kenya, Ethiopia, Colombia, and Honduras, pulled with the kind of precision you expect from someone who has been doing this at world-championship level since 2004. The espresso is clean, complex, and worth slowing down for. The pastry is better than it needs to be.
You come for the coffee, stay because the person behind the bar actually knows where it grew.
The Vibe
Knowledgeable staff who can tell you the harvest year and the processing method without being asked, and who seem genuinely pleased when you want to know more. Regulars at the counter, people who made the trip deliberately, and a pace that never rushes either group.
The Verdict
The best coffee in Oslo, and one of the most serious espresso bars in Scandinavia. If you are making a list of reasons to visit the city, this belongs near the top.
