The cafe that seeded this entire neighbourhood. Blue Bottle arrived in this renovated Fukagawa factory in 2015 and drew every serious roaster that followed. Start here, take the first coffee slowly in the high-ceilinged room, and remember that none of what comes next existed before this address opened.

An omakase coffee experience in Hirano — eighteen minutes on foot through the Koto backstreets from Blue Bottle. A guided sequence of single-origin cups, each prepared using a different method, from the team behind the Jingumae original. Reservation recommended.

One of the strongest all-round rooms in Koto and a reliable Steep Pick. The roaster is visible from the counter, the drip coffee programme is exceptional, and the kitchen takes food seriously enough to justify a second order. End the morning here — spend longer than a single cup requires.
