Two real coffee destinations open this walk. The last two are honest about the fact that the coffee is not why you should stop, and neither review hides it. Closed Mondays, since the bakery at the end of the route is.

Open daily, cafe service until 17:00, then a bar with DJ sets Thursday through Saturday evenings. Weekend brunch draws a real queue, arrive early — the strongest brunch stop on this walk, and the reason it opens the route.

The one Steep Pick on this route, and the reason to get the real coffee out of the way before the walk moves past it. A koi pond and real trees sit behind the counter at TRI-SEVEN ROPPONGI, genuinely spacious for a solo sit with fast wifi.

A small standing coffee stand with real atmosphere and good people-watching on a busy stretch of Roppongi-dori, but the espresso itself came through watered down on our visit. Come for the street, not the shot. Opens at 8:30 on weekdays, not until 10:00 on weekends.

Closed Mondays. Excellent bread and a genuinely good avocado toast close the walk, though the espresso drinks were watered down here too, a surprise given the coffee program is run by the manager of Fuglen Tokyo. Order the bread, not the cappuccino.
