Song Wat to Warehouse 30
Bangkok · Half day · morning
A long heritage walk down Bangkok's most interesting emerging cafe corridor, from Song Wat Road's shophouse roasters through Talat Noi to a converted warehouse of design shops in Bang Rak. This is a half-day route, not a quick coffee crawl, budget real time for the walk itself.
The route
- 1. SCR - Song Wat Coffee RoastersSong Wat, Chakkrawat
Start at SCR, inside a beautifully preserved old shophouse right on Song Wat Road. The latte and sausage croissant are both excellent, but there is no restroom on site, you will need to cross the street and use a public bathroom, shoes off. Plan your timing before you order a second cup, you have a long walk ahead.
6 min walk to the next stop
- 2. KOFF & BUN at Song WatSong Wat, Samphanthawong
A short walk further down Song Wat Road to a century-old restored shophouse with a genuinely chill second floor overlooking the street. The menu here is extensive, order with a plan rather than browsing everything, a shorter list executed well would serve the coffee better than the current spread.
7 min walk to the next stop
- 3. La Cabra BangkokTalat Noi, Samphanthawong
The walk from Song Wat into Talat Noi is the longest stretch so far, and La Cabra is worth every minute of it. Aarhus, Denmark's brightest-roast philosophy dropped into a raw-edged, heritage Bangkok room, the cortado is the one to order.
12 min walk to the next stop
- 4. a Coffee Roaster by li-bra-ryWarehouse 30, Bang Rak
The final stretch runs south into Bang Rak and a converted former embassy warehouse now filled with design shops. a Coffee Roaster by li-bra-ry closes the walk properly, excellent cold brew, strong wifi, and a posh, laid-back room worth lingering in before you browse Warehouse 30 on your way out.
