The Space
The cafe sits on the ground floor of Tokyo International Forum's Block A, a couple of minutes from Yurakucho Station, in a room sized to match the building around it. Counter seating and plenty of tables, with outlets at most of them, and a case of baked goods by the register worth a look on the way out.
The Coffee
The iced latte with an extra shot came out well balanced, the extra shot doing real work rather than just making the drink stronger. It is not the most ambitious cup in this catalog, but it held up across the whole glass.
The room does the convincing. The coffee just has to hold up its end, and it does.
The Vibe
The room is bright, open, and easy to settle into, whether that means a laptop for three hours or a book and a slow drink. The staff working the counter were friendly and polite without being intrusive, which matters more than it sounds like it should in a space this size.
The Verdict
This is not a coffee pilgrimage. It is a real work cafe inside one of Tokyo's biggest public buildings, with fifty seats, functioning wifi, and a latte that holds up its end. Go there to get something done, not to chase a shot.
