The tea score reflects a genuinely exceptional selection, the black oolong and the seven Darjeeling teas we tried were all excellent, and the sweets and savory bites that come with the afternoon tea are Italian-inspired and uber delicious, the scones especially. Atmosphere scores highest of all, this is a room that oozes excellence, luxurious and posh without feeling cold. Staff anticipate your needs before you ask, and the whole experience reads as carefully thought through from start to finish.

The Space
The Bvlgari Lounge sits on the 40th floor of Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo, a warm, wood-panelled room built around a fireplace and unmistakably luxurious in every detail. It is the kind of space that makes the two-hour seating feel like exactly the right amount of time.
The Tea
The tea list is genuinely exceptional, the black oolong stood out and the seven Darjeeling teas offered were all excellent and worth working through. The Italian-inspired sweets and savory bites that accompany the tea, especially the scones, were uber delicious and clearly considered rather than an afterthought.
Everything here was thought out carefully, and it shows in the smallest details, right down to the scones.
The Vibe
Staff are warm and attentive, the kind that anticipate what you need before you ask for it. It is a genuinely posh experience that never once feels stiff or performative.
The Verdict
One of the more exceptional afternoon tea experiences in Tokyo, and worth the price for the tea and the sweets alone. Come hungry, come patient, and let the two hours do their work.
