The Space
A ground-floor wine shop and standing bar tucked into a quiet alley near Gakugeidaigaku Station, stocked floor to ceiling with around 500 varieties across 500+ bottles. The format is kakuuchi — you browse, you ask, you drink at the counter. The room is small enough that the selection feels curated rather than overwhelming, and the backstreet it sits on is exactly the kind of Meguro alley worth knowing about.
The Pour
Ninety percent of the cellar is Italian natural wine, with over 70 orange wines consistently in stock alongside selections from Slovenia, France, Austria, Spain, and beyond. Around ten wines are available by the glass on any given visit, rotating with the stock. Fresh mozzarella and charcuterie are available to pair with whatever you pour. The Vibe
The staff are friendly and happy to talk through the selection without turning it into a lecture. The kakuuchi format keeps the mood easy: this is somewhere for a quiet glass after work or a low-key catch-up with a friend, not a long seated evening. Solo visitors are comfortable here, and the neighbourhood makes the walk home feel like a natural extension of the drink.
The Verdict
One of the more considered natural wine standing bars in this part of Meguro, in a neighbourhood that rewards finding things slightly off the usual path. The Italian focus and the depth of orange wine make it genuinely interesting for anyone who knows what they are looking at. Worth knowing about and easy to return to.
