The Space
The room is the same converted underground parking structure that Sedai Coffee occupies by day, raw concrete walls and warm wooden counters in a Realgate complex that does not announce itself from the street. Arriving in the evening you would not know it had spent the morning as a specialty coffee bar.

hebeerryk! is a natural wine importer first and a bar second, which means the list runs around 100+ bottles of Italian and Japanese wines rather than the usual 40-bottle edit most Tokyo wine bars offer. Five to ten are available by the glass on any given day from ¥1,100, and the staff know the selection well enough to steer you somewhere interesting rather than just hand you a list.

The crowd arrives after three and shifts through the evening without any forced energy. Couples and neighbourhood regulars fill most of the seats, the room stays at a level where you can actually hear the person across from you, and nobody is moving you along.
The Verdict
A 100-bottle natural wine list in a basement concrete room in residential Hatagaya is not something you find by accident, which is exactly why it is worth knowing about. Come back the next morning for the coffee.
