A renovated former kimono shop on the quiet shopping strip near Shoin Shrine Mae, with a distinctive facade that earns its reputation as a neighbourhood landmark. Inside it is warm, unhurried, and smaller than it looks from outside.
The Coffee
The espresso is pulled clean and the lattes are the kind you finish before you mean to. Seasonal drinks rotate with the weather, and the refreshing options on a summer menu are genuinely worth ordering over the standard.
The latte arrives and suddenly you are in no hurry to be anywhere else.
The Vibe
Local families, a few people watching the street from the window seats, staff who are unhurried and friendly. It is the kind of neighbourhood cafe that makes you wish you lived closer.
