The Space

Posh and stylish but very minimalist, closer to an Apple Store than a typical coffee counter, tucked into the basement level of Garden Plaza B rather than street level like the sibling location upstairs.

The Indonesia East Java Mount came through with green apple and stone fruit notes, delicious and aromatic, and the latte art on top was good enough to be genuinely persuasive. Consistency is the whole point here, and it holds across the lineup.

Staff are friendly and genuinely coffee-centric, the kind of service that matches the polish of the room. Good for relaxing and taking in the atmosphere or watching people go by, less so for sitting down to work.

The Verdict

Go for an espresso pilgrimage, or just to sit with the atmosphere and watch the crowd move through Garden Plaza B. Leave the laptop behind, this is not that kind of stop.
