Tucked into the ground floor of MINOWA Omotesando, Café Kitsuné Aoyama looks exactly as considered as the fashion house behind it. It sits in one of Minami-Aoyama's most upscale, most photographed corners, and it draws a crowd that matches.
The Coffee
The cold brew arrived flat, missing the depth that makes cold brew worth ordering over iced coffee in the first place. The tuna and egg croissant special fared worse, dense and a little stale rather than the fresh bake the price point implies.
The room does more for you here than the cup ever does.
The Vibe
Staff are friendly and the room is genuinely relaxing to sit in alone, the kind of place built for a slow, unhurried hour. It leans touristy, which fits the neighbourhood more than it works against the cafe.
The Verdict
Café Kitsuné Aoyama sells the design first and the menu second, and on this visit that order showed. Come for the room, not the cup.
