Atmosphere and Staying Power both lead, a genuinely chill room built for settling in with friends rather than rushing a drink. Kurage sits on the ground floor of Mustard Hotel Shimokitazawa, in the bohemian heart of the neighbourhood, a cozy room built for lingering rather than passing through.
The Pour
The lemon sour was genuinely good, well balanced and easy to keep ordering. The wider list leans craft, with a decent mezcal selection and a wine list pulling from the States rather than the usual natural-wine default.

Kurage backs up its cool-neighbourhood setting with drinks that actually deliver, at a price that does not punish you for staying. A genuinely good lowkey option in a Shimokitazawa night that is usually louder than this.
