Look Up Coffee sits in a quieter pocket of Shimokitazawa, patio seating out front and a communal table inside, with a funky, quaint interior and music playing in the background. It is a real getaway from the busier, more tourist-heavy streets nearby.
The Coffee
The coffee itself was just okay, nothing that stands out on its own. The Almond Caramelized Scone was genuinely delicious though, and paired nicely with the hot latte.
Not a bad place to go solo, sit, and watch the street.
The Vibe
Staff were friendly, if a little perfunctory about it. This is a solid spot to sit alone and watch the street go by, popular enough with tourists that it never feels empty.
The Verdict
Come for the patio and the scone, not for a coffee revelation. A quaint, easy escape from Shimokitazawa's busier corners.
