The Space
A former public bathhouse on a quiet backstreet in Nezu, with the original tile work, high ceilings, and sento proportions kept largely intact beneath a careful renovation. The private room is bookable separately and gives the place a register that almost no other cafe in Tokyo can offer.
The Coffee
The matcha latte is the reason to come and earns the visit on its own: well-sourced, properly prepared, and not sweetened past the point where you lose the tea. The espresso is good and does not embarrass itself alongside the matcha program.
The tile work is intact, the staff are warm, and the matcha latte is the best argument for not leaving.
The Vibe
The staff speak English fluently and with the kind of warmth that makes you order another round. The room pulls toward solo visitors and small groups who want to slow down, and the neighbourhood outside Nezu keeps exactly the same pace.
