Meguro, Wednesday to Sunday

Three coffee stops and a wine bar inside about 650 metres, on the quieter side of Meguro. Start around eleven when the cafe inside the coworking space opens, and finish at wine bar juni, which opens at noon on weekends and at four on weekdays.

Open from 7am, so this is the place for an early start. Pick a bean from the vials at the counter, then have the charcoal latte and the creamy pudding. It gets crowded on weekends, and it works best as a quick stop here.

The public cafe inside a coworking community, in an old print factory. It opens at 11:00 and is closed Monday and Tuesday, which is why this walk runs Wednesday to Sunday. Order the quick plate. The wifi is capped at about two hours, so this is a place to sit and talk, not to work.

Small and quiet, with vinyl on the speakers and benches inside and out. It closes at 15:00, so do not leave it late. Order the art latte over the cappuccino, which came out under-pulled on our visit.

Finish with wine. It opens at noon on weekends and at 16:00 Wednesday to Friday, so on a weekday plan an hour of slack after the last coffee. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
