SWITCH COFFEE TOKYO - Meguro
Meguro · Tokyo · Steep Index 8.0/10

A small, quiet cafe on a residential street in Meguro, with vinyl on the speakers, a nice art latte and a break from the busier parts of town.
The Steep Index
Atmosphere and solo-friendliness lead, with a quiet street, vinyl records and benches to settle into. The coffee is the low point, since the cappuccino came out under-pulled and watered down while the art latte was nice.

- Atmosphere: 8.9/10
- Solo-Friendliness: 8.5/10
- Value: 7.8/10
- Staying Power: 7.9/10

Perfect for: people watching, no laptops
The Space
Switch Coffee sits on a quiet residential street in Meguro, off the main roads and close to the canal. It is small and quaint, with a few benches inside and outside, and mostly locals come through.
The Coffee
The cappuccino, on a single origin Brazil, came out under-pulled and watered down. The art latte was quite nice, but the cappuccino did not match it, and a second visit is on the list.
A quiet break from the busier parts of Nakameguro, Ebisu and Meguro.
The Vibe
Ambient music plays from vinyl records. The barista was professional and friendly but lacking warmth. It suits going solo to watch the street, or sitting on the benches with friends, and it is not a place to work.
The Verdict
Come for the quiet and the vinyl, a good respite from the busier, more touristy parts of Nakameguro, Ebisu and Meguro. Order the art latte, and give the cappuccino another try on a second visit.
