The Space
Old Northeast's brick streets lead to a room that mixes vintage furniture with local art and a piano tucked into one corner, with ample seating spilling into a second room where people sit with laptops. It reads more like a well-loved living room than a coffee shop.
The Coffee
The latte was well pulled and the banana chocolate bread, baked in house, was the better of the two. Coffee and pastries both landed as advertised, nothing about either felt like an afterthought.
Someone was playing the piano in the corner and nobody seemed surprised.
The Vibe
The crowd is genuinely eclectic, people reading alone, people talking to whoever's at the next table, and staff cordial enough to set that tone themselves. Wifi is fast enough that a whole side room is quietly working on laptops while the front room stays social.
